The Centre of Mediterranean Mosaic is located in Dion. A mosaic workshop operates there. Every year, a large number of students is taught by specialist craftsmen the art of mosaic. The technique used is that of the ancient Macedonians, as themes are inspired by the mosaics of the archaeological site of Dion . Each summer, an exhibition of mosaics made by the students take place at the exhibition areas of the Centre of Mediterranean Mosaic. Also, at The Centre’s halls, that possess excellent technical infrastructure, works of Greek and international artists are exhibited. Additionally, a great number of cultural events is organized. It must be noted, that in ancient Dion the art of mosaic was especially developed. The mosaics in the villa of Dionysus, which survived in excellent condition, are famous.

The Centre of Mediterranean Mosaic of Dion belongs to the municipality of Dion – Olympus and is granted to the Olympus Festival, to organize art exhibitions and other events, such as literature, poetry, etc.
